Collection in Tiny House, Milan
Tiny house, big label

Dutch Design Isola
Salone del Mobile Milan 4 – 9 April 2017
Dutch Design Isola is the pinnacle of innovation, inspiration and collaboration during the Salone Del Mobile. Located in the north of Milan, the Isola district will showcase high end, innovatory exhibitions focused on experiment, research and a unique approach within design.
Dutch Design Isola collaborates with local institutions to host their spaces. We are thrilled to announce that this year the works by Dutch Invertuals and Social Label will be presented at studios and galleries in walking distance from each other. Along with other inspiring local studios and workshops they form the Isola design district.
Dutch Invertuals presents HARVEST
After multiple successful national and international exhibitions, the now acclaimed Dutch Invertuals brings you Harvest. For the seventh time they present at O’ an artists residency and nonprofit arts organization that hosts exhibitions, live performances and concerts. Dutch Invertuals will unveil a glimpse into the future of design with new works during the Salone del Mobile. Within the context of the future way of life, the designers explore the aesthetics and complexities of a world in transition. Ten designers have been challenged to contemplate diverse scenarios, all of which take place in the future landscape. An interplay between upcoming technologies results in an overload of possibilities, going beyond what’s familiar.
Social Label
Design creates socio economic opportunities for disadvantaged persons in the ‘working world’. Social label is a new ‘work concept’ for people with a distance to the labour market. Social label involves designers, companies (social firms), healthcare and governmental organisations for new popssibilities. Social label is an initiative of Studio Boot and C-mone They explicitly invite others to contribute and cooperate in order to bridge the gap of some of us to the labour market. In this way companies are connected with a top designer and meaningful quality products, and most of all offering social value, contributing to an inclusive society.
‘Design Route’
These collaborations amount in an international ‘Design Route’ that will take you through Isola into Brera. Along this route you will find exhibitions featuring, among others. It will also feature various inspiring restaurants, shops like Corso Como and interesting architecture such as the prestigious Bosco Verticale building; a skyscraper that not only houses people, but also over nine hundred trees.
