RAGHIDA

specerijen: mahleb & sesamzaad
Uit Syrie, woont in Drunen. Ze werkt bij Baanbrekers in de horeca. Ze houdt van mooie kleding en ook van koken en bakken o.a. koekjes met mahleb en sesamzaad.

spices: mahleb & sesame seeds
From Syria, lives in Drunen. She works at Baanbrekers in hospitality. She loves beautiful clothes and also cooking and baking including cookies with mahleb and sesame seeds.

JESSICA

Jessica komt uit Peru. Ze is opgeleid als journalist en lerares Engels. Binnenkort wil ze haar eigen kinderopvang in Rosmalen openen. Ze is dol op ‘alfafores de maizena’ en op Algarrobina, een siroop gemaakt van de Zwarte Johannesbroodboom, heel populair in de Peruaanse keuken.

Jessica is from Peru. She is trained as a journalist and English teacher. Soon she plans to open her own daycare in Rosmalen. She loves alfafores de maizena and Algarrobina, a syrup made from the Black carob tree, very popular in Peruvian cuisine.

INDIRA

Kokos is een van haar favorieten. Ze komt uit Venezuela, woont in Den Bosch en werkt bij de horeca in de bibliotheek (Huis73). Ze gaat graag met mensen om. Haar droom is om ooit als hotelmanager aan de slag te gaan. Via de horeca heeft ze haar talent in evenementen opzetten en hospitality ontdekt.

Coconut is one of her favorites. She is from Venezuela, lives in Den Bosch and works in hospitality at the library (Huis73). She enjoys dealing with people. Her dream is to work as a hotel manager someday. Through the hospitality industry, she discovered her talent in event creation and hospitality.

FATIMA

Fatima draagt de Somalische vlag. Ze is bewoner in AZC Den Bosch. Ze woont daar ruim 1,5 jaar. Sinds kort deelt ze een kamer samen met Ismahaan. Ze gaat een paar dagen in de week naar school om Nederlands te leren.

Fatima carries the Somali flag. She is a resident in AZC Den Bosch. She has lived there for over 1.5 years. She recently started sharing a room with Ismahaan. She goes to school a few days a week to learn Dutch.

ISMAHAAN

Ismahaan komt uit Somalie, bewoner AZC Den Bosch. Ze heeft vijf kinderen en is nog maar enkele maanden in Nederland. Ze maakt graag Somalische traditionele thee met melk en kruiden. Ismahaan is dol op canjeero dat eet ze het liefst elke ochtend.

Ismahaan is from Somalia, resident AZC Den Bosch. She has five children and has only been in the Netherlands for a few months. She likes to make Somali traditional tea with milk and herbs. Ismahaan loves canjeero which she prefers to eat every morning.

RUBY

specerijen: kurkema en kardemon
Ruby komt uit Bangladesh, woont in Den Bosch. Ze heeft een master in Microbiologie, veel gereist over de hele wereld en houdt van alle culturen, elk met hun eigen karakter en gewoontes. Het is geven en nemen, samen doen. Koken is niet alleen voor de buik, maar ook voor de mind, openstaan voor nieuwe smaken.

Ruby is from Bangladesh, lives in Den Bosch. She has a master’s degree in Microbiology, travelled extensively around the world and loves all cultures, each with their own character and customs. It’s give and take, doing it together. Cooking is not only for the belly, but also for the mind, being open to new flavours.

VICTORIA

specerijen: kokos
Victoria komt uit Colombia en is nu drie jaar in Den Bosch. Ze is professionele kleur- en schoonheidsspecialist /kapper. Ze wil mensen mooi maken. Ze houdt van koken, haar favoriet is ‘tamalis aroz misto’.

spices: coconut
Victoria is from Colombia and has been in Den Bosch for three years now. She is a professional colourist and beautician/barber. She wants to make people beautiful. She loves cooking, her favourite is “tamalis aroz misto”.

RANA

Specerij: Mahleb
Rana komt uit Syrië woont Den Bosch. Ze heeft een achtergrond in muziekeducatie voor kinderen. Momenteel heeft ze haar handen vol aan de zorg van haar drie zoontjes. Ze houdt van mooi vakmanschap en koken. Ze wil de echte Bossche bollen leren maken.

Spice: Mahleb
Rana comes from Syria lives Den Bosch. She has a background in music education for children. She currently has her hands full caring for her three little sons. She loves beautiful craftsmanship and cooking. She wants to learn to make the real Bossche bollen.

HANA

Hana komt uit Irak, bewoner AZC Den Bosch. Ze heeft met haar man en zoon van vier jaar zeven jaar lang door Europa gereist op zoek naar een veilige plek. Ze is vandaag heel blij omdat ze naar school kan gaan. Taarten bakken is haar favoriete hobby.

Hana is from Iraq, resident AZC Den Bosch. She has travelled across Europe for seven years with her husband and four-year-old son in search of a safe place. She is very happy today because she can go to school. Baking cakes is her favourite hobby.
