Studenten Bori Csiszar en Alexandra Polakova van de Master Practic Held In Common (PHIC), University of Arts, ArtEZ, onderzochten hoe ze van oude afgedankte visnetten* weer een product kunnen maken. Ze werken daarbij met een handmatig weefgetouw en onderzoeken hoe ze het materiaal kunnen hergebruiken. Samen met de mensen van ASVZ zorg weven ze het tot een nieuw product: een deurmat. PHIC is een master opleiding aan ArtEZ Arnhem. Het project wordt begeleid door Petra Janssen (co-initatior, designer Social label en mentor master PHIC).

Zij verzamelen scheepsafval in de haven van Rotterdam.

Education project
Students Bori Csiszar and Alexandra Polakova of the Master Practic Held In Common (PHIC), University of Arts, ArtEZ, researched how to turn old discarded fishing nets* back into a product. Working with a manual loom, they looked at how to reuse the material. Together with the people of ASVZ care they weave it into a new product a doormat. PHIC is a master’s degree program at ArtEZ Arnhem. The project is supervised by Petra Janssen (co-initatior, designer Social label and mentor master PHIC).
