This is what we did last year together.

Social label TRAP

For Social Labels 10th anniversary, Ineke Hans designed a quirky, cheerful and multi-purpose collection for young and old, made with care at shelthered workshop De Winkel die Werkt & social firm Plan op Maat to take any step you want in your life. All models are provided with hefty dots by the makers. This gives them the opportunity to finish the design themselves and increases the pleasure of working and co-creating. Moreover, it gives each piece of furniture a cheerful touch and a personal signature. In the TRAP collection, you’ll find hybrid objects with and without handles: to sit on, to use as steps, as mini-desk, plant displays, side tables, or. For example to hang your clothes on.

Bart recently started working as a wood shop supervisor. He is used to working with people in various spectrums of autism. From connection with people, he wants to see what work suits whom and give people who fall outside society a stage again. After all, being seen and being meaningful is what makes us human. Art can play a crucial role in this, as expressed in the collaboration with Social label.

Bas is the inventor of the team at De Winkel die Werkt. In addition to collaborating on Social label products, his ideas are given free rein in this creative social workshop on Makersstraat. F.e., he previously made a villa with all the trimmings for his pets. With his latest invention, an electric mini car built on the frame of an old go-kart, he steals the show.

Nikita has a passion for craftsmanship and loves working with wood the most. In this she wants to become even more skilled. As a maker, she has been closely involved from the beginning in the development of Social label > TRAP a collection of various stepping stones, a collaboration of Social label with designer Ineke Hans and De Winkel die Werkt.

Will is the owner of Plan op Maat & De Winkel die Werkt. He knows everything about mechanical engineering and construction. For Will the following applies: participating, belonging. Especially for people for whom, for various reasons, it is not obvious, this is very important. With Social label we create new opportunities together. In the Makersstraat near the Werkwarenhuis on Tramkade there is always something to do. Our clients feel at home here and part of a new part of the city.

Stef wants to get back into society and has found an accessible workplace at De Winkel die Werkt. Here he can take new steps at his own pace. He once trained in metalworking. Now he works on wood products and learns to handle various machines. Gradually he is expanding his activities. He now works four part-time days and is motivated to work towards a job.

Remco has no background in wood at all but got into it. He is very creative and appears to be a jack-of-all-trades. He tackles everything and has already worked on various products. He feels at home in the workshop of De Winkel die Werkt and seen in the Makersstraat near the Werkwarenhuis on the Bossche Tramkade.

Willy has been working for Plan op Maat & De Winkel die Werkt for a long time and has already participated in several projects and job activities in the Makersstraat at Social label. In his earlier youth he graduated as a carpenter/furniture maker, from his knowledge and skills we still reap the benefits.
